Smoothie FAQ's
For most people, a green smoothie can replace a meal, especially breakfast. I often drink one of these smoothies first thing in the morning, and it holds me over until lunch without a problem. Consider that you're getting a handful or two of raw greens, usually a banana, and one or two other fruits or vegetables, plus the liquid. That would be quite a bit of food all piled up on a plate.
I find that morning is the best time to drink a green smoothie. It's great to start your day with all of the nourishment a raw, green smoothie provides. Your body will absorb the nutrients and have more health and energy throughout the day. Also, if all of your good intentions slip away from you as the day progresses, at least you've started well and already eaten several fresh fruits and vegetables.

Bonus
Let me give you one more as a bonus. It's not green, so I didn't include it in this collection, but a Mango and Pineapple Smoothie is really good, too!
Equipment
I make these delicious smoothies in my Blendtec blender with consistently great results. If you don't have a high speed blender, you might need to run yours a little longer or chop your fruits and vegetables a little smaller in the beginning. You can experiment and, with practice, you'll learn what works best for you and your blender.
